Whenever the media creates a headline based on science, it contradicts the very meaning of science! Science is not a dogma, but rather an approach to solving complex problems. Science requires constant questioning and evaluation of evidence. In order for a hypothesis to become a theory, it requires reproduction of experimentation to confirm its validity. Sadly, the media interprets reproduction as repeatedly saying things more often, but saying something more often doesn't make it more true. Don't just accept everything you're told as definite truth, for nothing is permanent.
If we don't challenge scientific discoveries, our lives will remain static. We cannot grow without rational debate of differing perspectives. The Institution of science requires us to question everything, and we must get comfortable with challenging our own beliefs. Galileo and Einstein challenged the prevailing beliefs, and look how impactful their discoveries have been to our current lives. Let's strive for a better approximation of the truth with mathematics and accurate data. Let's become rational again! #rationalrenaissance

*w/ the exception of a small portion of the population that's hyper-reactive to cholesterol intake
